guidelines for
AEI interns

This document lays out the guidelines for SLAT interns at the AEI. A copy of the guidelines should be given to the supervising teacher at the AEI and the SLAT student.

observation
feedback form

This form can be used by AEI teachers to observe and provide feedback for the intern's lessons. The form would be given to the student only.

supervised internship evaluation form

This form is used by the supervising AEI teacher to report on the intern's performance at end of the internship period. The completed form should be sent to Susan Guion, Linguistics Dept via campus mail.

expectations for the supervised internship

This document serves as a model for how to structure of the internship. Any variations should be agreed upon by SLAT advisor and student. A copy of the final version should be given to the supervising teacher and the SLAT student.

letter to supervising teacher

This form letter confirms participation in the SLAT internship by a supervising teacher at UO or other instructional context (public schools, LCC, etc.). As mentioned in the text of the letter, the teacher should also receive an outline of expectations for the supervised internship and the internship evaluation form.

The student is responsible for arranging an internship, with the SLAT advisor's assistance if necessary, and securing the supervising teacher's participation.

Cut and paste the contents of this letter into your word processor, replace the bracketed items with the correct information, and print out on your letterhead.
